Like all airlines, Lufthansa has regulations in place to manage the size and amount of carry-on luggage passengers may take onto the plane. Number and Size If you are flying in Lufthansa's economy class, you are only permitted to take one piece of hand luggage onto the plane with you. Business and first class passengers can carry on two pieces of luggage. Any carry-on bags should be 18 pounds or less and they cannot exceed 22 by 16 by 9 inches. Any health and beauty gels or liquids must be in sizes less than 3.4 ounces, or 100 milliliters. Weapons and dangerous objects are not permitted in your carry-on luggage or on the plane. Technology Lufthansa does not expect you to survive a long flight without entertainment. It's OK to bring on an MP3 player, laptop computer, tablet, e-reader or a gaming device. The only restriction is that many of these devices need to be turned off during take-off and landing.
