If we can be made to see it perhaps for the rest of our lives we will be unwilling to settle for less.” Outward Bound Philosophy:Adventure MattersAdventure is defined as an exciting or very unusual experience. Adventure is what makes Outward Bound different than other trips students might take. Where else can students wake up to the sunrise, help each other climb a rock face, use a map and compass to navigate off-trail, and sleep beneath the stars- all in the same day? We give your students a trip filled with memories that will last a lifetime.Outward Bound provides individuals and teams the opportunity to discover strength of character and aptitude for leadership needed to serve others in their community and care for the world around them.
Outward Bound helps students develop a path to their own inner strength. After this life-altering experience, students will be better equipped to handle life’s many obstacles with newly enhanced decision making skills and resiliency resulting in success both inside and outside of the classroom. This 5-day, 4-night backpacking and rock climbing expedition is offered exclusively to Glenelg Country School Upper School Students.Travel into the remote back-country and explore the most beautiful areas of the mid-Atlantic during this backpacking and rock climbing expedition.June 13 - June 17, 2016Your course starts at the Outward Bound campus in Baltimore, MD. We stayed in an ocean view apartment on the fifth floor. The unit was modern and everything was in good order. The view was nice and the beds were good. Parking is down below and was an extra $20. The apartment was spacious, had plenty of sitting room in the lounge area and the beds were extremely comfortable. Walking distance to food, restaurants and shopping. Will stay again and recommend for a short or longer stay. I'm staying at the Oaks Plaza Pier and it's really fantastic. Beautiful, spacious rooms with everything you could possibly want including in-room bath. Indoor pool and spa which I intend to use later.
