best diaper bags lucie's list

At the very same time I'm packing up the kitchen, dining room, and living room finding things to get rid of in anticipation of our upcoming remodel, I'm putting together a list of must-haves for when the baby comes. Somehow, in the next three months, all of this will come together, right? We are turning our kitchen, formal living room, and tiny formal dining room into a more open, but not completely open, space. If you have advice for me regarding baby products, either lifesavers or duds, please let me know in the comments. I got the following items from our yard sale site or from friends. Peg Perego Primo Viaggio infant car seat (from a friend, no accidents) Britax Advocate Convertible car seat (from a friend, no accidents) Crib, here's the one I'd like to buy because the baby's room will be gray and yellow (Margaret has the decor under control :)) Breast pump and bottles Infant bathtub or insert-- Is there a good one for washing baby in the sink or on the counter?

politely disseminating a baby registry May 20, 2016   Subscribe Mr. liet and I are expecting a baby in July, and as he'll be our first baby, and I have absolutely zero experience with other people's babies, I have questions. kd backpack olxThe AskMe archives have covered most of them, but I'm curious about two things: how much and what kind of clothing we should have on hand, and how to disseminate our registry without throwing a baby shower.quiksilver ublo backpack review 1. Clothing: I see the recommendations at Lucie's List and everything makes sense. The question is, how many do we need of each thing? Over baby's first year, do we need, like, five of each size of onesie? What about the footed ones? Same goes for all the other articles of clothing we need. We don't mind laundry, but it would be nice to have enough of a stockpile to not have to do laundry all day, every day.
It will be summer here in Austin and it will be hotter than the surface of the sun for a few months after the baby is born. What clothes do we need to bring baby home from the hospital, keeping in mind it'll be 100 degrees? What do we need for around the house? Is it okay to take a baby to the store in just a onesie? Seriously, I don't know anything about clothing babies. I also don't know how fast they grow. I don't know if it's relevant for sizing, but baby is tracking to be a perfectly average size on delivery. His weight was in the 49th percentile during our 32-week ultrasound earlier this week (although I know ultrasound weight estimates are iffy and it's still early). 2. Registry: I built a small registry with a major online-only retailer. It's mostly a place for me to save a list of specific items I think we'll need (the specific bouncer that gets the best reviews, etc.), but it would be nice if people wanted to buy us stuff off of it. Is it polite to announce the existence of our registry on Facebook?
For us, Facebook is largely a collection of acquaintances and current and former coworkers -- not so much family. We're not having a baby shower -- it's just not my style. I've never even been to one. However, we are throwing a party next month -- we host board gaming parties occasionally, so this won't really be a special event other than it'll probably be our last one for a while. Is it polite to ask attendees to check our registry? We'll definitely emphasize that we don't expect or require gifts, because as far as we're concerned, it's just another party. But just in case they want to bring something... It will probably be the last time we see most of these people until well after the baby is born. I want to let them know we have a registry because I don't want anything that's not on the registry. I'm a minimalist and I don't want stuff we don't need. We've put off shopping until now -- literally, we've spent less than $50 on baby stuff so far. But at T-minus 7 weeks, it's probably about time we get going.

A lot of you want to know what camera I shoot with, what lenses, etc. So I thought I’d take a quick minute to share all that info with you here.
The funny thing about sharing everything that’s in my camera bag via picture, is that I can’t actually use my fancy camera to take the picture, so this is courtesy of my husband’s iPhone4. Canon EOS Rebel T2i Canon 50 mm 1.4 This was my first and only lens for a long time. It is super sharp and I love shooting with it wide open. I just get a little irritated with how tight of a crop it is on my camera. Canon 55-250 4.0-5.6 (my only zoom) I really haven’t used this one very much at all. Scott got it for me for Christmas, and I think it’s going to be a great lens to have when we take trips this summer to the zoo or the beach. I expect it will be a good one for shooting Kendall’s sporting events, too. Sigma 30 1.4  This is my new baby. I’ve only had it a few days and really haven’t had the chance to shoot with it at all, but the test shots I’ve done have made me confident this is going to spend a lot of time on my camera. The 50 produces amazing results, but I can barely fit everything in the frame unless I get far enough away from my subject.
This will allow me to take pictures of more than one person much easily while in the confines of the walls of my house. Macro extension tubes I want to figure these out so badly and play with them! I just haven’t had the time to sit down and try. Polaroid .42x Fisheye Lens with Macro  I’m going to be honest, I have no freaking idea how this thing works. In theory, it sounds awesome, and I’m pretty sure that’s what Santa was thinking when he put it in my stocking last year. Unfortunately, Santa doesn’t give lessons and I don’t have much time to dig up hard to find info on how to operate this one. Remote Shutter Release This is a cheapie, another stocking stuffer from Santa. It works great as long as you’re not too far from it. It claims up to 16 feet, but I’d argue that’s too far. Everything (and then some) rides in my trusty Epiphanie Paris bag (blinged out with a little Mabel’s Labels swag from Blogher ’10). And the icing on my picture-taking cake is this gorgeous new camera strap cover Gussy Sews sent me!
