Overall, this is an amazing camera for content creators. I am extremely impressed with the picture quality. I also love all the manual controls and the ease-of-use. The G7X II controls are similar to any of the other "red-ring' Powershot G series (or DSLR's, P&S, etc.), which is great! Being able to adjust exposure and other settings with the hard controls while you can still use it one handed is a definite plus. I also love the fact they included a detent/non-detent switch for using the ring dial. This is awesome for getting stops when shooting manual stills, and the flexibility for seamless and silent zoom when in video. It has a nice set of grips on it! Canon has finally included software that works great for importing to Photoshop. The touch to focus capability is so cool, and the flip screen makes VLOGs much easier to film. Time Lapse mode is one of those new Youtube staple shots people are using these days. I am glad they included this function, I just wish it had longer battery life, so I could do time lapses for longer than 2 hours.

I mean talk about bulging when it’s in your front pockets. I don’t want people to get the wrong idea, so I think this shouldn’t be considered “pocket-sized” by any stretch. You cannot power via USB and shoot at the same time. This would help so much with long videos and time lapse, since it is touted as a feature. I find it annoying to have to bring along extra batteries, but for my use, long time-lapse videos, this makes sense.
