Cambridge Satchel Company 'Classic Mini' An adorable, miniature version of the classic satchel. The mini satchel features branded brass hardware and an adjustable, detachable strap which transforms the bag from daytime handbag to night time clutch purse. The bag has all the features of its classic counterpart and is finished with a top handle and easy-to-use magnetic closures. Made in Great Britain. Height: 22 cm width: 15 cm depth: 5cm weight: 0.48 kg Product type: Clothing and Accessories Designer/author: Cambridge Satchel CompanyA few weeks back the wonderful Cambridge Satchel Company asked if I’d like to be apart of their Christmas shoot and even better they wanted Simon to be apart of it too. After years of helping me take my blog photos it was so much fun to having him on the other side of the lens. Styling up our favourite CS bags and finding things to do in London at Chrismas, we spent the day market-hopping and of course some mulled wine sampling.

Check out some of the snaps from our festive day around London. London is quite magical at Christmas, I love seeing all the shop windows transform and making a point of heading to Winder Wonderland. One of my favourite place to go is Southbank and at Christmas you’re never short of things to do. Plus nothing says Christmas than 1. The Christmas markets and 2. A red patent satchel. I love to add a pop of colour to my outfit and this bag was perfect. Simon opted for a canvas backpack, something he has wanted for a while now. It’s great for me as I can pop some bits in there too. (Christmas present sorted I think) Me: 11” Satchel with Magnetic Closures in Patent Red Simon: Steamer Backpack in Navy Canvas (coming soon) Our next stop, Borough Market. Make sure to head there early as it gets super busy. it’s great for food and as we were feeling in the festive mood, some mulled wine too. This is my usual combination, denim, knitwear and a cross body bag – plus a tote.

You know the drill. Self confessed bag lady, the tote bag is perfect for a day out and about especially for carrying all my necessities like a DSLR, not to mention the nice and bits and bobs I’ll pick up from the market. Me: Tassel Tote in Clay & the Medium Push Lock in Midnight Simon: Bridge Closure Bag in Navy & Vintage If we’re going for drinks or dinner I love to head for Bermondsey Street nearby. It’s filled with great restaurants and bars… perfect for day or night. My go to of choice for such occasion, is always the Poppy. Which you will have seen before on my blog. This Oxblood colour is such a rich wintery shade and it looks really chic paired with my favourite black skinny jeans and a recent addition to my ever growing knitwear collection this sparkly jumper from & Other Stories. Me: Poppy Bag in Oxblood Simon: the Folio Bag in Black Well, that’s it from our day with the Cambridge Satchel Company and although this was a collaboration, my love for CSC continues.

Once just the preserve of backpackers and students, you never used to be able to find a sleek, grow-up version made out of anything but nylon for love nor money.

But all that’s changed. The rucksack can be luxe (see the Fendi stye in our edit below), practical (Knomo’s are designed to cushion laptops), in keeping with your signature style, and best of all—covetable. Want a black, suitably businessy version with gold hardware? Or what about a baby pink drawstring in soft leather? We’ve got just the thing. Great for dashing around the city, a two-strap bag has the obvious benefits of being better for your back than a single-strap tote stuffed with everything but the kitchen sink. Plus, it works well with smart trainers for a look that’s contemporary and practical. We suggest packing a small pochette with just your essentials for easy-to-reach convenience—keys, phone, purse, etc., then leave the bulky stuff housed in the main compartment. Now all that’s left to do is decide on “the one.” Trust us, being hands-free never looked so good. Scroll through the gallery below for our pick of the best.
