Evoc CC-10L backpack +2L Bladder This colourful little pack from EVOC is the first of their packs to be available with their 2-litre EVOC/Hydrapak bladder. The CC-10L is made from ripstop nylon and features three pockets of various sizes, each of which has separate inner compartments that make keeping things neat far easier. There’s also the roll-out helmet flap, which is great. The massive main pocket has plenty of room for a jacket or any larger tools, and there’s a separate compartment that the bladder sits in. The back panel is well vented and isn’t overly rigid, so it’ll shape to your back nicely. Strap-wise, there’s both an abdomen and chest retention strap, as well as shoulder straps, and they all feature plenty of adjustment. The Evoc/Hydrapak bladder is good, if not up to CamelBak standards. The closure can be a little clumsy at times, but the mouthpiece can be locked out, which is a nice touch. For shorter stints on the bike, the CC-10L is a good choice. We’re big fans of the bold colour scheme too.

Evoc CC 10L Plus 2L Bladder Hydration Pack So if Evoc's spine-saving FR Protector series of backpacks is for those hardcore folks who need to think about back injuries when they bail, what do the rest of us wear when we're not concerned with such things? You just want to go for a cross-country spin or do some racing, and Evoc wants to be there, too, which is why it makes the Evoc CC 10L Plus 2L Bladder Hydration Pack. The proclaimed "workhorse" of its non-Protector hydration pack line, the CC 10L walks that line between small, marathon- or XC-race day packs and huge, heavy-duty trail trunks. The 10L of volume is just enough for the essentials, with enough room left over to stash some extra gear, tools, and food. There's the roll-out helmet flap when you need it, and the hydration tube for the included 2-liter bladder clamps on the right shoulder, keeping it right where you want it. For other practical concerns, there are dedicated pockets for both your sunglasses and cellphone, and the reflective webbing and taillight clip lend some safety to urban environments, as well.

The pack itself is made of a blend of PU-coated ripstop nylons for durability, and behind the highly breathable 3D Air Mesh backing is Atilon foam for support and padding. It's a comfortable, lightweight pack that'll become an asset, both on the trail as well as on your way to and from it.

The events are hyped largely as an event to demo all the hottest mountain bikes this season. However, the demos extend much further to items such as backpacks and protective gear.

Sure, you can hang out in your local bike shop wearing a backpack as a “test,” but nothing beats stuffing the bag to the brim with all your necessities and riding a trail to see how it really performs. For women, it can be particularly difficult to find a backpack that fits. There are several more factors for women to consider than men. To this end, I decided to demo the EVOC FR Track out on the trails. The initial factor that drew me to the EVOC FR Track was the incorporation of the back protector. I admit that I’m not one to attempt the kind of jumps that would typically warrant a back protector. However, any protection I can add to gear I’m already wearing is intriguing. The FR Track is a 10L bag with numerous pockets to keep all of your stuff neatly organized in addition to your hydration system. It also comes with a rain fly, which I’ve wished my personal backpack had on numerous occasions… even in the desert. The shoulder straps were comfortable. In addition, this style of backpack comes with very stout hip straps to hold the backpack in place while riding even the gnarliest of terrain.

EVOC added this feature not only for comfort of placement, but also to ensure that the back protector is properly positioned in the unlikely event you need to utilize it. The hip straps were extremely comfortable and snug. Quite frankly, it felt as though someone was giving me a hug constantly. The drawback to these hip straps is that they were quite hot, even in March in Moab (granted it was in the 70s by the end of the day). I don’t think I would be able to handle this style of backpack during the peak of summer. Overall, the pack provided ample space for my gear and snacks, supreme comfort despite the heat, and looked good. The 10 Best US Colleges and Universities for Mountain BikersDon't Scare the Newbie!
