Hazard: The level of ethanol and other fuel additives can distort the toolless fuel cap, allowing fuel to spill, posing a fire and burn hazard. Incidents/Injuries: STIHL has received 81 reports of difficulty installing and/or removing the fuel caps and fuel spillage. No injuries have been reported. Big yes, but there is no additional space to carry a long lens with the camera, even in a seperate compartment. The problem with the Portabrace backpack is in the detail: the shoulder straps have a nasty tendancy to twist (by comparison with the LowePro bags I have been using for ever) and after only 10 or so uses, those straps lost some of their shape and their comfort. Equally the hip straps are not as robust or as well padded as I would expect for a bag desgned for such a big load (its running at 15-20kg). The adjustment is not by friction buckles as is the norm, but velcro which sticks to clothes, is harder to adjust and wears out. Even the main buckle, critical to the working of the pack, is not as robust as I would expect. What could be a great backpack with a little more thought, is just an OK one Can't wait to try the Shinn - the film on the site sugests it will be a good experience! I was unsure as to whether you can carry the camera in the Shinn with a long lens attached.I have had a Portabrace Hiker for a few years, it was the only backpack that could carry a Varicam and HJ40 ready to shoot. The zip broke on it and Portabrace would not repair it, I am now stuck looking for a somewhere to sew a new zip . I agree its a horrible pack to carry and really cuts into the shoulders but it takes my F55 and long lens as well.
