The following is a list of professional skateboarders and their sponsors. Entries denoted with "---" represent skateboarders whose other sponsors provide equipment or merchandise in this category or skateboarders who have not yet secured a sponsor in this category.Danny Davis Grateful Dead Goggle The Grateful Dead are no longer around. Although … try telling that to any number of aging hippy-types holding onto the dream that someday the second coming of Jerry will deliver them to the promised land. A land where you would twirl all day long & do whip-its in the parking lot till your eyes bleed. Danny Davis is not an aging hippy … well, technically he is … but that’s besides the point. DD loves him some Dead. So much, he decided to make a goggle dedicated to his love of a band that made wearing a burlap bag an accepted piece of fashion. Categories: Gear, Snow Hard Goods Gold Coast Heavy Pile Longboard Shag carpet for grip tape would seem like a good idea – until you actually needed a bit of grip to make a turn around a sharp corner or when you’re about to drop into the Mega Ramp.
More likely than not … if you’re purchasing this cruizer, you’re going straight across campus with Jack Johnson playing on your earbuds & a set of Keees on your feet … thus, eliminating both situations. I do think shag would feel amazing on your bare feet though. Categories: Gear, Skate Hard Goods Your everyday activities create a kinetic energy charge used to power your phone, etc. – like a Shake Weight for your electronics!  But … don’t picture the men’s Shake Weight commercial. I say this because, obviously, the people over in marketing failed to realize the ads they signed-off on would end-up being some grinning, homo-erotic weirdness used to sell fitness equipment. Wait … what was this review about again? OWLE Bubo for the iPhone File under: gimme right now. This iPhone 4  filming attachment has a lot of potential. I just ordered one for my Todcasts. The best thing has to be the fish eye and the forward-facing microphone. Pretty sick little gadget.
If I could start using my phone to film and upload clips, that would be amazing. Another game system that lets you spazz out in front of your tv. First, it was the Wii with its “dumbchucks,” now it’s Microsoft’s turn. The cool thing about Kinect is you don’t need an actual controller – so you’re free to flail about your living room like a total jackass on your quest for that high score. I foresee many lawsuits due to uncoordination. Incase x Paul Rodriguez P-Rod has some sweet sponsors. He has a best selling shoe, a can of soda … and now, a backpack by the coolest of the cool when it comes to toting stuff on your back. I’ve had a couple Incase bags over the years. They’re by far the best backpacks I have ever owned. This P-Rod bag looks to have a bunch of sweet pockets n’ do dads to hold & hide all your whatnots. Why doesn’t P-Rod just call himself Prod? Rome Libertine Pureflex Boot Rome has some pretty slick product out right now. I never really thought of them as a boot brand – but slap me hard on the ass and call me pretty – they have amazingly sweet boots to go with those snowboards they manufacture.
The Libertine boot’s lase system lets you dial in the flex of the boot in different areas – so you can tweak airs like Noah Brandon and lay down carves like Jean Nerva. I don’t really know of anyone laying down carves like Jean Nerva these days … in fact, I’m lucky if I see kids actually using their sidecut. Remember the scene in Spies Like Us when Chevy Chase and Dan Akroyd are dressed up in fur coats covered in Christmas lights pretending to be aliens? vintage oroton backpackThat’s what this lighted skateboard reminds me of.high sierra backpack at bj's Did you know Underarmour makes snowboard clothes? backpack 50x40x20cmBesides making some amazing first layer clothes, they are now dabbling in outerwear. backpack rugzak best getest
I do think they should change the name to Outerarmour if they are going in that direction. It would lead to less confusion. Categories: Snow Soft Goods, Style Nixon x Barneys 25th Anniversary Watch I don’t know a lot of skaters & snowboarders that shop at Barneys. But other than him, or Tony Hawk, nobody can afford the underwear they sell there. In spite of this, Nixon has teamed up with Barneys to give us – the consumer – a chance to pick up yet another limited edition watch. backpack owyheeThis one has a nice leather band and a clean face. backpack maatjeIt would probably look really good on your wrist … if you’re going to a wedding.laptop backpack skroutz We Wood is a company born in Italy that makes watches almost completely out of wood.
The intent is to create products that are all natural and 100% free of toxic chemicals, in addition to that they will also plant one tree for every watch purchased. It’s cool to see companies finding ways to be eco-friendly in random industries you would never expect. Neuvo watches take the classic ’80s looking watch and add subtle hints of modern style to make for the perfect retro-futuristic look. The watches are currently available in four different finishes and sold exclusively at their website. The best part is they have a very reasonable price tag of only $45. Also check out iPhone app for free. I have been in love with Incase since purchasing my very first pack several years ago. The quality and attention to detail rivals that of the Apple products they are built for. This Campus Pack is one of my favorite packs they have come out with. The colorway, pocket structure and overall design is just awesome. Morr Music has released a few new t-shirts in their online shop.
The designs are pretty much exactly what you would expect from Morr, which is a good thing. Simple, yet fun and interesting. I have been looking for some swim trunks for a while now. Having spent the entire summer in Shanghai last year it was somewhat difficult finding a pair I liked. These new Sail Trunks done by Freshjive are pretty much exactly what I am looking for. They are available over Reserve now for $52. Supreme and Vans Collab I have never been a super big fan of Vans, but I am really liking this new collaboration between Supreme and Vans. Read more over on Hypebeast. Ray-Ban’s Rare Prints Collection Ray-Ban has released their latest line of collaborations with the Rare Prints Collection. They have asked Matt W. More, Aesthetic Apparatus, Ames Bros and Valhalla Studios to create these limited edition posters each numbered and signed by the artists. Check out the Rare Prints Collection is available now. The Best of Online Boutiques & Shops Summer is around the corner and I have been looking to switch up my wardrobe a bit for the new season.
I thought I might share some of the online boutiques and shops that I frequent for clothing, as well as other shopping for other stuff like travel or gifts. Some of them you probably know of already, but hopefully there’s one or two in this list that you haven’t heard of. This is probably my favorite online clothing boutique, and the one I visit most often. They carry many designer brands such as Orisue, Modern Amusement, Cheap Monday, Insight and a lot more. Tobi is similar to 80’s Purple. A huge selection of both men and women’s clothing, as well as bath supplies, electronics, jewelry, fragrances, hair products, home products and more. This isn’t a shop or boutique exactly. It is, however, one of the best resources online to find the coolest stuff online to buy. Zappos probably has a lot of stuff you would have zero interest in. They carry a lot of stuff your Mom, Dad and even Grandma might like. But they also have some really cool and cheap stuff too. If you are looking for a bargain, it’s a good place to check out.
Contrary to Zappos, Oak is not a place to head for bargains. Most of the clothing you will find here is pretty pricey, but if you are looking for some designer clothing that you are not likely to see anyone else wearing check it out. Upon first look Revolve may seem like a website most of your local club douche visit on the regular. But if you are willing to weed through the shitty brands they do have some good stuff like Ksubi, Beta Unit, GRN Apple Tree, Clae and a bunch more. This is a clean, simple boutique with a lot of good random stuff for both men and women. I had dinner with the creators of this shop the other night and they are very cool people. This site gives designers and creatives direct access to buyers, in a very clean and well designed website. Each designer is approved one-by-one so you are guaranteed to find quality goods. If you are like me a travel a lot then you take pride in your travel gear. You like to be organized, prepared and stylish while traveling and Flight 001 helps you do just that.
If we were all rich we would probably shop here instead of Ikea. A cool place for random gifts and whatnots. Did I miss some? Let me know and comment below. While Modular may be known for their consistently awesome releases of indie-pop and dance music, they also have a pretty amazing line of tees as well. Yes, their promo photos may be crossing the line on the creepy s&m side, but great tees never the less. Poketo Recycled Street Banner Bags I have been a longtime fan of Poketo and their uniquely crafted products. I especially like their wallets. They have recently started selling these Recycled Street Banner Bags that are really cool as well. The bags are made of street banners from Seoul and made by an eco-friendly non-profit shop in South Korea that specializes in creating one of a kind hand-crafted goods. So not only are you reducing waste when purchasing one of these bags, but you will have a one of a kind bag that nobody in the world has. Rakes & Strays Spring 2010 Designs
Rakes & Strays have just released their new line of t-shirt designs for their spring/summer line and all of them are looking super fresh. Rakes & Strays is the sister company of EIO Clothing, which I posted about the other day. They describe the Rakes & Strays line as EIO Clothing’s “vagabond sibling, the child that left home early and ran away to join the circus.” The line is available now exclusively  in their online store. Also follow EIO Clothing on Twiiter. Beautiful/Decay Spring 2010 Line Beautiful/Decay has released their Spring 2010 line with some fresh designs that feature a lot of hand drawn work. The line includes work from include Ben Tegel, Jiro Bevis, YAIAGIFT, Steve Bonner & Ryan Riss. Check out their look book, and the limited edition tees are available in the Beautiful/Decay online store now. Big Cartel Mini-Documentary on Zuriick It’s always good to see smaller independent companies joining forces, supporting each other and making money doing it.
A few years ago I helped my friends over at Zuriick set up a store with Big Cartel, and since they have completely blown up. Not saying Big Cartel is solely responsible for that, but they provided a very good and easy solution for selling product online. Big Cartel has put together a little mini-documentary on Zuriick, their shoes and how Big Cartel has helped them grow. Incase’s Paul Rodriguez Signature Skate Pack I have posted many times before about Incase. I have also owned many of their products and have alway been very happy with the quality. For this pack Incase has teamed up with skateboarder Paul Rodriguez to come up with a colorway and funtions that I have never seen from them. The obvious feature that’s different is the skatebaord straps on the back of the pack, but also slots for iPod and headphones. I hope to see more collaborations like this from Incase and maybe DJs or musicians. Available now for $99 EIO Clothing Spring Collection Some years back I posted about the clothing label EIO (Excess is ok).
