In developing a new Early Education Program tailored to the high-energy world of boys, the faculty at Holy Cross Primary focused on the importance of giving children meaningful and engaging experiences. We have developed a curriculum that respects all best practices and then goes farther … to instill in the boys a love of learning and discovery at an early age. Holy Cross Primary is a project-inspired school that promotes imagination, creativity and exploration. The school offers a curriculum that includes core subjects with a strong emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) instruction. Religion and physical education are part of the daily schedule, and students are also offered explorations in music, art, library, and foreign language. At Holy Cross, we often refer to The Holy Cross Man. This is where we lay the foundation of that strength and sensitivity and we have a lot of fun in the process! The project-inspired curriculum is child-focused.
We understand boys – how they act and how they learn. The majority of our instruction happens in small groups, working collaboratively and taking breaks or changing their environment as needed. We tailor learning experiences around physical activities, engaging both fine- and gross-motor skills throughout the day. The boys engage in Physical Education every day. In this way, we promote a love of learning early on. The teachers work to meet the individual needs of the students and guide them to be confident, independent, and respectful young men. In the tradition of our beloved founder, Blessed Basile Moreau, C.S.C., at Holy Cross, we educate the whole person – mind, body, heart and soul. A Holy Cross education involves “cooperation, zeal and spirit.” Those three words accurately describe the lessons we impart in our boys. As young boys move from individual play to co-play to cooperative play, we guide them to make good decisions, share and be gracious winners and losers.
Respect for faculty, respect for fellow students and respect for oneself are all part of the spirit of Holy Cross.mod backpack slots borderlands 2 Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) are key elements to a modern curriculum. vizair laptop backpackWe enhance a traditional math and science curriculum with multiple technology centers, iPads, laptops and an engineering center for our older students.backpack jax redemption Technology is embedded in all subject areas. backpack tamron 150-600Holy Cross Primary teaches the use of technology as a tool for creation. peli u100 elite laptop backpack
