We’re on the show to perform and to be ourselves, which is what our viewers like. When something comes along and the producers are trying to create a fight, you just let it go.
Luckily, our moms are always there for us and will stick up for us. And Abby makes enough drama for herself. On what Abby has taught her: “Usually when she’s mad, it’s because the producers made her mad. But she’s made us the dancers that we are. And she’s done a lot for me, like talk me through wanting to leave last season and introducing me to music and singing. Plus, if we ever book a job and there’s someone like Abby on set—and there will almost always be someone like that on set—we’ll be prepared for it.” On saying goodbye to Maddie Ziegler: “She’s been here since day one, so it’s definitely sad that we lost her on the show. We have fewer dancers now, too. But I still see Maddie basically every day. She was my best friend on the show since the beginning, and we still dance together. When she was judging So You Think You Can Dance, we always FaceTimed after the show to talk about it.” On her upcoming music: “It’s called ‘Where Would I Be Without You’ and it’s kind of inspired by Calvin Harris’ music.
I co-wrote it and it’s about my best friends and what we’ve all been through together and how they’re always by my side. I’m releasing it as Kendall K, which is what my friends call me.
