Looked great and was so warm and lightweight. Problem is after only one walk in Wales with a light backpack on the back of the coat got really worn. Nearly on hole in one place. I see another person has had the same issue. Go outdoors had no problem in exchanging it for a Rab jacket. If you're only buying it as a jacket to wear to walk over the park in or down the pub then it's great. But not an active outdoor coat! After ONE walk with a lightweight backpack to the climbing wall the Pertex outer is ruined from just the straps against the outer, leading to tears and pulled threads.Appalling performance for a jacket in this price range. Have contacted Mammut directly to question about QC issues, bt will be returning this jacket as its not fit for use if a 10 stroll can destroy the outer. Warm Yet Cool, 04 February 2016 purchased this jacket while on sale at 18% i was fed up of being cold so decided i needed an insulated jacket, and this jacket doesn't disappoint the quality is outstanding the only let down is the slightly snaggy zip, the mix of vertex endurance on the outside of arms and hood plus vertex quantum give great weather resistance.plus it looks the part Awesome jacket, 12 January 2016 This jacket has been with me mountaineering in the Caucasus, the Alps (in summer and winter), ice climbing and rock climbing. It's perfect - fit is great, it's durable and I don't have to worry about keeping it bone dry.
Not as warm as many big puffy down jackets but that's not what it's trying to be.As a bonus, it's a decent price and it looks cool enough to wear day to day too. Excellent, 12 October 2015 Had this a while now, and used it in cold weather walks, as well as on some overnight camps on the hill in autumn cool and windy conditions as an outer layer.It really is great.. Its a GO exclusive but its actually the same as a Mammut Rime Pro but without the interior mesh pockets. Its warm enough for standing around in on cold nights (although for winter you'd need something a little more substantial), its light, packs down well, and the hood is excellent with cinching all round. The material is soft, comfy, and warm, and the fleece lined handwarmer pockets are just another added bonus.I love this jacket.. i'm hoping it will take me into winter as a standaround jacket for nights on the hill, but I think it will be pushing it for warmth, so probably not in all honesty. Don't let that put you off though as it really is incredibly warm and comfy.
