The instructions are very easy to understand and setting up the Autostar computer is just as easy. Once you are familar with which two stars to align with setup becomes very quick. 1. The Autostar is not difficult to set up or use. Just remember to calibrate the motor and train the drive. After you get it set up, it's fun to use. 2. In your alignment, don't use the included compass to find north, try to eyeball Polaris. It's a cute little telescope with quality optics. The computerized hand controller is really helpful. Great value for money. Recommended in it's price class. Pros: Terrestrial & astronomical use , autostar controller This is a very nice scope. No doubt about it. It have 80mm achromatic doublets that show a whole of detail of planets and deep space.
