River - Collect Only Not Currently Available for International Delivery A spacious and comfortable weekend tent that's ideal for adventure trips into the outdoors or festival goers. The Vango Metis 500 Tent, available exclusively at GO Outdoors, uses a simple design that's popular for good reason - it's easy to pitch and comfortable to stay in, stays stable and sturdy even in poor weather, and gives you ample room for yourselves and your gear. All-in-one pitching ensures that the inner always stays dry, and it uses Vango's TBS ®II system to stay stable in adverse conditions like strong, changeable winds. When tensioned, the bands brace the pole and prevent sideways movement, and in calm conditions the system can be disconnected. The large porch area, convenient inner pockets, hanging points for lanterns, and its combination of breathable fabrics, linked-in groundsheet and easy ventilation all combine to make the Metis a comfy place to relax and enjoy your camping experience.

backpack asus kaskus First ever tent, 18 September 2016 I bought this tent as my very first tent for me and my 2 kids. Its spacious and solid but i was disappointed the 'living area' groundsheet is not sewn in and did flap in the wind but a few pegs inside to secure and more tension on the outer corners and it worked brilliantly! Overall very pleased, great price, very sturdy and can't wait to get out there. Vango Metis, 22 April 2016 I bought this tent to use on my own on my motorbike but wanted to be able to stand up in it. I took it straight up to Beadnel bay for the weekend but had to take the car due to the horrible weather conditions.

We had rain sleet and snow and i thought about cancelling but decided to press on to give the tent a proper test. I Had the whole set up complete within half an hour on my own and hunkered down to see how it faired. The wind and rain proceeded to batter the tent for 24 hours and I have to admit to being concerned it would collapse. However it stood up to everything thrown at it and remained perfectly dry throughout. I cant wait to get back out there and the added bonus is my bike will fit in front porch easily. I would definitely recommend this tent. Definitely recommend it for first time campers, 01 September 2016 The tent was very easy and simple to set up and only took 3 of us less than 10 minutes to have all the poles in and then tent pegged down.

As we were at a festival we had lots of bags that we didn't want in our sleeping area - but no worries as the porch is plenty big for bags and 3 camping chairs, unfortunately it's not tall enough to stand up in but that posed no trouble for us, as we spent very little time in the tent during the day. The tent comfortably fits 4 people and the side pockets come in handy for little extras, such as lanterns and sleeping bag sacks. A little warning would be that when it does start to rain make sure that the doors are fully zipped up- we found that when we left one of the doors slightly undone at the end rain still managed to get in, but was no longer a problem once we had managed to zip the door shut. The tent was very stable in wet and windy conditions, and wasn't too bright when we woke up in the mornings. The ventilated openings on the side and front of the tent, definitely do make a difference in keeping you cool during the warm nights. Practice makes perfect, 24 August 2016 Great little tent for the money I paid, I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to setting up tents, I like everything to be nice and tight without any flapping bits....

This took a bit of time to achieve and I couldn't get the back of the tent up to my satisfaction, could do with two pegging points to overcome this problem instead of the central elastic band thingy. Having everything almost to my liking ( nice and tight ) I noticed that the door was hard to zip back up, to solve this problem I had to slacken off the peg point tension straps which solved the door issue but made the tent a tad flappy again. The inside is very cute, ground sheet ties in very nicely and the inner tent has plenty of room to sleep a family of 4. This tent doesn't have fly screens on the outer doors though, and as other reviewers have said , rain can easily drop in if you open the door when it's raining but can be overcome with a bit of common sense. Good but not perfect, 10 July 2016 We purchased this for 2 adults and 2 kids plus one cocker spaniel to go away for weekends. Firstly it held up surprisingly well in severe rain and winds though as others have commented the door lets any water in the moment it is opened.

It was pretty easy to put up (though the instructions were debatable). Could be done in well under 15mins. Easy to disassemble too.Due to the lower head height you can not stand up fully making the porch area only practical for storage. Due to severe weather we were confined to tent some of the time and the lack of space showed, though the sleeping area was able to accomodate two camping beds in the centre with mats and sleeping bags on the floor at the sides. For 2-3 people it would be ideal. We partly went for this one due to the size and weight for potentially taking on a motorcycle but if these two things aren't an issue then would recommend going for the 500 instead to make things more comfortable. leaky door, 22 June 2016 Like past reviews the only real downside to this tent is the doors letting in water when opened this is not a small trickle! the rest of the tent from its size to ease of erecting cannot be faulted. For a couple you could easily use for a weeks holiday.
