The Clark County Fair Association started the Scholarship Fund in 1988 with intent to provide funds to local 4-H, FFA and Open Class fair participants to attend a college, university, trade or vocational institution of their choice. Over the past 20 years, the Fund has distributed over $525,000 to more than 335 students. Currently, the fund distributes $25,000 to 10–15 students annually.
In more recent years, the Fair Association has set aside a portion of the $25,000 to award scholarships to Fair employees. Both the EXHIBITORS and the EMPLOYEES of the Clark County Fair are large contributors to the success of this annual celebration of Clark County. If you have been an EXHIBITOR at the Clark County Fair and are interested in applying for a scholarship, the applications are available online or at local schools beginning in February of each year. The deadline for these applications is March 17, 2017. The selections are made in May and the recipients will be notified immediately and will be invited to participate in a presentation at the Clark County Fair in August.
