Wanted to make sure his feet stayed dry this time. This is not his style of footwear for school or social events and initially he resisted wearing them because he is more comfortable in Chuck Taylors, but when it got cold and wet during the camping trip, he was glad to have these boots. He said they kept his feet warm and dry, and even on a day hike of several miles he said they felt comfortable with a pair of medium weight wool hiking socks. He's also put them on to do work in the garage, like sanding cabinets and other work activities. They might not be appropriate for something that requires steel cap/toe but for general work they fit the bill nicely.

They were comfortable and waterproof for almost 1 and 1/2 months. At that time the welt began to separate. Bought some shoe goo and will try to use these until spring, then into the trash can. I have bought very cheap boots that have lasted longer than these. Felt true to size Felt true to width from Laguna Niguel, CA The Timberland White ledge mids are very good shoes. Recently broke them in at Eaton Canyon here in So. Cal. Eaton is at the base of the San Bernardino Mtn range. Because of late Spring rains, there is still tons of water. Well my new Timberlands performed great. The gusseted tongue, shed water beautifully. Traction was terrific on the slippery rocks. Getting on and out of the boots was easy too with the hook loop system. Overall I give them high ratings and look forward putting the Timberlands to a better test soon and we are headed to Yosemite next month!
