Many styles also feature dedicated mobile, tablet, and laptop pockets.
Prices range from £65.00 for a card holder up to £845.00 for a large Trip packing case. I am tempted to get a Tumi on the assumption that they are better than other brands such as Samsonite, etc. At that price, they should be. Is that true ? I don't mind paying more for a better product, but I can't stomach the thought of paying good money for marketing or snob-appeal or whatever you want to call it. What about a Tumi (carryon spinner) is worth $400+ ? Thank you for any pointers. Cost is not necessarily an indicator of durability. Often you are paying for the brand. If you are looking for a carry on it will be in your care. How rough are you with your own luggage. If its for a checked bag, top quality doesn't mean loss proof. Personally I would never buy a bag that was worth more than what I pack in it! There's plenty on the market just as sturdy at a fraction the cost. One thing I like about Tumi is that they are very light. But you are paying for the name.
I have one Tumi bag, a carry-on bag that I received from my company for 10 years of service, a number of years ago. This one has no wheels, just shoulder and hand straps. Maybe they've changed since I got mine, but unlike what evemelb said above, mine is on the heavy side. While it is nice looking and sturdy, I stopped using it due to the weight. It is already heavy while empty, putting stuff into it made carrying it through the airports hard on the shoulder.eberlestock gs05m gunslinger rifle backpack Hi, there is a huge discussion on FlyerTalk about bags - these are the folks who fly darn near every day and have loads of experience. forvert louis laptop backpack 40lMany on there like Tumi, others like Rimowa. bca backpack recall
Me - I love my Boyt Edge (US made and just great luggage with a lifetime warranty regardless of how the bag was damaged!). Then again I love my Skyway 30" bought on sale at my local Kroger superstore (Fred Meyer up here) for $75!!!! The two of them have made lots of flights packed to the gills (most of my flights are overseas so I get a 70 lb. limit) and they still look like new after 7 years!!! I think the company was sold to Ricardo of Beverly Hills since I bought my bags. fernglas 10x42 backpackI don't know if they are still as good. sniper backpack 8fieldsI hope so because some day mine will need replacement - ebags has a skyways carry-on on sale, I think.titan backpack lbt Oh, forgot, here's the link to the FlyerTalk stuff -:- Message from TripAdvisor staff -:-This post was determined to be inappropriate by the TripAdvisor community and has been removed.

Thanks for being a part of the TripAdvisor travel community! I have friends who loves their Tumis. Personally I have grown fond of Tom Bihns creations since they are of high quality and clever solutions. Their effort goes into their creations instead (I hope). I'm a Tumi fanatic. I have 5 of their bags and adore them. I reccomend going into a large store that has a variety. Their business bags are great but I love their upscale casual bags. The Alpha Bravo collection is great. The Knoxville backpack is great and the mini messenger bag is the best man bag ever. They're totally worth it. The design and fabric on the inside of the bags is even more impressive than the outside. Plus most Tumi bags come with a global tracer device built in. You register your bag online and if it's lost anywhere in the world you have a better chance of having your bag returned.
All of your personal info is on it so an identity thief can't just take your info from a regular luggage tag. All 5 of my bags have built in tracers. Plus Tumi bags just look great. Because their bags are always changing and they don't just have one main logo design like LV and coach.... It's hard to fake a Tumi. So when you see a Tumi you know it's a Tumi. I've heard good things about Tumi - like it lasts forever. So, I'd say, choose something that you really, REALLY like. We received a set of Rimowa Salsa Air (the 26" and the 22" I think) as a wedding gift, and they were fantastic going through multiple airports while celebrating our belated honeymoon. We plan to use them on our 16-day trip to FP, with only a personal article to carry our tablets and snacks on the plane. I know there's a premium placed on name brands, but I believe that you really do get what you pay for. It may has more to do with your personal spending habit than product itself, and if you are a brand person, there is nothing wrong with spending several times amount or being addicted to brands.
If you are, nothing anyone can say will change your mind. The only one to impress is yourself, nobody else will pay attention to your luggage, not taxi drivers or bellboys. Luggage has changed a lot, super light weight and spinner are the newest trend, brand is the most irrelevant aspect. if you can find the Tumi on sale then go for it. I have the "extended trip packing case" and the "continental carry on" for my monthly-ish denver -> madrid trips. both have held up great, are lightweight, and the one issue i had on a cobbled street, was fixed the same day. the shanghainess has their ascot convertible backpack & a tote carry on dealie, she likes those for overnight business travel & meetings as well. Another issue with Tumi is their color scheme. I like that it kinda sticks out in the luggage carousel. My continental carry on is the only bag I've owned that an Iberia FA said "nice bag sir" when she saw it fwiw. Which SIM Card is Best For Me Be Relax travel neck pillow?
