Have used it camping all summer from car camping to bikepacking and backpacking and it's great in all conditions. I love how the fly is able to be tied back in a variety of ways so that the tent is still very open yet protected from rain and/or yields more privacy. The only thing that bugs me is that one of the doors has a shorter zipper than the other. I would appreciate it if both sides had the full-length zipper.

I have used this tent a lot over the past three summers now. Overall, it's been great and easy to use. It is spacious inside for a tent this size, and the square storage sack makes for fast and easy packing. The star gazer function is a neat bonus. The main flaw with this tent is the ceiling. There is a flat spot between the cross pole and where the side poles intersect. This means that 1) water accumulates there during rain, and 2) condensation will form on the inside there (rather than run down the side of the fly), and drip down onto your sleeping bag. In humid weather, this means waking up with wet spots on your down bag. I've tried adjusting the fly to stop this to no avail. It's too bad for this one but significant issue - this would otherwise be a fantastic tent. Let me start of by saying this tent is "perfect"... perfect for people just under 6 feet tall. I love this tent, I really do... I just wish my 6' 3" frame would have loved it more. On paper 83" should be big enough to fit my large frame, but the TN2 is 83" from pole to pole.

The interior space is actually about 77", at which point the walls are already caving in on me. I literally have to sleep diagonally just to fit in there nicely and while adding a second person is do-able... it's just doesn't work. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Kelty... heed this customer's honest review and make this tent longer for next year, I'm thinking something in the 90"+ range would be absolutely perfect! This really is the best tent you guys have ever made and I can't wait for you to make it better!!! I have taken this tent out a handful of times and it has been incredible. It sets up easily, breathes well, and the stakes keep everything in place. I am a little disappointed in how the rain fly clips on to the tent rather than interacting with the poles. I would like to be able to ditch the body of the tent and use the poles, fly, and footprint if I needed to cut weight but am unable to do this. I'm still trying to decide if I like the cube style storage but I do like the thought that went behind it.

Great tent, great price, very satisfied. I have used this tent for two backpack trips now and am very impressed. The tent is light (about 4 lbs) and compact. I especially like the shorter pole length. Kelty has always made good tents @ at a good price point and this is no exception. It does feel slightly nicer/designed than your average Kelty tent (which I own 2 of). The two doors and vestibules are great for two people and backpacks. Not a whole lot of room on the inside for extra gear storage. For the price, this is a technical lightweight tent for three season use.fits 2 people well, one person great. The stargazing feature is great. easy to set up. The windows on the fly de-laminated after a couple of uses. I sent the fly in for repair in Feb 2016. It took 6 weeks for it to return which is too long for a defect. The fix was to sew both windows on and seam seal. i hope that will last The zippers ALWAYS get stuck on a pointless flap and eventually after a few camp outs broke so now I have to buy a new rain fly completely (which isn't sold anywhere.)

My last tent was a 2-person Kelty that was very similar to this one (Campsite?). It lasted 17 years so I went back to the well when it was time to replace it. This TN2 is everything that my old one was and more. It's easier to put up, has even more mesh than the last (didn't think that was going to be possible), and has 2 vestibules rather than 1. It's a great tent for the kind of canoe camping that my wife and I do. For those of you that put the rainfly down from within the tent: Does it really keep the rain out if you don't secure the corners to the Jake's Foot? I'm sooooooo hoping that Big Agnes (sister company) comes out with a version of this tent that is at least one pound lighter than the TN2. Outside of the weight, this looks like a great tent to me. I'm hoping a company rep reads this and considers what I wrote. The tent went together incredible easy the first time I used it. The only thing I didn't like is the bag the tent came in, doesn't fit well in my pack and forget getting it back in easily after using it.
