The side compartments are also handy for storing items in that you need quick and easy access to. The construction and thought put into the makeup of this bag was well thought out. Another part of this bag that is so great is the adjustability of the straps. The hip cinch setup is great for alleviating extra stress on the back and shoulders. Personally, I had some issues with ventilation for my back and with shoulder pain. There are videos on YouTube that show how to properly tighten the straps, if you follow these directions you will have a comfortable pack with great ventilation to the back and your shoulders will be free of pain. Another great part about this pack is that it meets requirements for a carry-on. This backpack will even meet the requirements provided by RyanAir in Europe. The backpack can hold up to 20 pounds because of this you need to take caution of weight requirements for the airline as the backpack may weigh too much to comply with their rules.
