I told him because of the price, he was going to have to use it for at least 2 years of school. When it arrived it was very cute, the personalization is a flap that velcros to a standard black bookbag. The flap itself seems to be of much higher quality than the bookbag itself. The bookbag fabric was very thin, but otherwise seemed ok. It's now March, the fabric of the bookbag is disintegrating.

There are holes forming in the bottom, there are areas where the black 'coating' is just falling off the mesh fabric, so if you look into the bookbag it almost looks like a screen rather than a solid fabric. My son entered Kindergarden this year, the only items he carries in this bag are a folder and a lunch bag, no textbooks. I put the backpack on him and walk him to class, the teacher puts it on him and walks him to the door, so the damage is not caused from dragging the bag, or overfilling it with heavy items. I could only imagine if either of those were true the bag would have become unusable by November or December. If he was carrying books they would have torn through the bottom of this thing by now. Needless to say even though we spent $30+ on a bookbag hoping to get two years out of it, he will more than likely need a new bag before the end of this school year.
