If you have been following us, you know we like to do a little segment called Style Is... in which we dive into the inspiration of folks whose style we admire. In our second edition of the feature we are highlighting Chicago Natives, All Summa/The Saints and Natalie Wright. First up, we have Ricks. I am Ricks, Chicago West-sider, Founder of AllSumma, Saint. My biggest inspiration style wise has always been the street dudes I looked up to in the 90’s and early 2000’s while growing up on the westside of chicago. They always were clean dudes nice leather coats, cool buck fifty hats, super cool demeanors judging off of simple things like the way they walked and talked. How do you define Chicago Style? How is it reflected in your personal style, if at all? Chicago style is kind of tricky because Chicago has so many different kinds of people who I would still consider fresh in their own right. For example, you can have the “super streetwear dude” who likes buying the latest exclusive sneakers matched with their favorite store t shirt.
You can have your “super high end fashion” dude who's thirsty every season for Saint Laurent, Givenchy, and Balenciaga to drop their new collections and sort of just mix and match it all together. Then you can have your “street” dude who loves Pelle Pelle leathers with his True Religion or Robin Jeans and a fresh pair of Timberlands. tas backpack eksportThose things definitely reflect in my personal style because to a certain extent I feel like I’m a mix of all that because I like the latest freshest sneakers, I like a lot of high end pieces, and I like Fresh Leathers and Timbs. backpack ursulineI feel like I’m a mix of all that in 1 look.backpack splinter cell convictionWhat do you look for from Sir & Madame?vip i2 laptop backpack
When it comes to Sir and Madame I look for one thing and I know I won’t be let down and that is quality. I love you guys home brand. All the pieces consist of super quality materials, it doesn’t matter if its a screen printed t shirt or a leather backpack, you can count on it to last.  backpack tamrac expedition 6xYou guys pay a lot of attention to detail and in the end that’s always a win as a consumer.vip i2 laptop backpackFavorite Chicago shopping destinations As far as shopping in Chicago i don’t really do much shopping for clothes but when i do besides Sir & Madame of course i really like this newer spot here called Notre Shop, I’ve always been into RSVP Gallery since they opened, Leaders1354 will always be a staple spot in Chicago, and Saint Alfreds is also a classic spot. As far as website to shop on I don’t have a go to website for shopping.
Im all about saving so wherever has the cheapest price for something I like thats where I’ll be making that purchase. I spend a lot of time searching through Etsy and eBay for random cool stuff I like.  Not only just clothes but literally anything that I come across cool that someone is selling I’m not to afraid to buy it at all. I of course can’t help but find myself on Hypebeast ever so often just to see whats to come in the near future whether its fashion, art, or electronics they’ve always been a easy place to find out whats going on.  because they never have biased opinions on certain celebrities looks. What are you currently reading and/or listening to?Currently i don’t have the patience at all to sit down and read books I’m always on the go, rarely sitting down so I’m not reading any books right now. Music wise I’ve been underwhelmed by new music besides Future haha. Besides Future, Tyler the Creator’s “Wolf”,   Lupe Fiasco’s “The Cool”, and Kid Cudi’s “Indicud” are all in heavy rotation for me daily.
I have a super respect for artists that go against the grain but also still finds a way to make undeniably great music and feel like those albums by those artist embodies that fully.Favorite Chicago restaurant, bar or lounge My favorite is luckily for me, a 1 stop shop, Soho House. If you know me and my crew this is usually where you can find us eating, drinking, or just lounging on a daily basis. What were you wearing 10 years ago?10 years ago i was a 16 year old kid wearing BBC, Lemar and Dauley, Crooks and Castles,  10 deep, or whatever cool t shirts from cool streetwear brands i could come across. I was spending a lot of money on denim at the time,  was really into 575 jeans and Antik Denim. As far as shoes I was wearing a lot of nike blazers, dunks, and air force one hi’s. This is when I started buying all my own clothes and i always wanted to make sure I wasn’t dressing like anyone else in school. In 3 words or less...Ricks is pictured in the Sir & Madame Denim Pindot WesternPhotographer: @stefanklapko Stefan Klapko
1-20 of 287 Results Still no support for macOS v10.12 Sierra Today I just know my UAD-2 Satellite does not support macOS v10.12 Sierra, but my MBP has been upgraded to Sierra. That is a very bad news for me. Universal Audio just leave an article in support page not in the main webpage. Some people like me don't know this & has already upgrade to the newest OS accidently. Universal Audio claim to releasing a software update in November 2016 which will be the first step toward full Sierra compatibility but the full testing and qualification for Sierra will in early 2017. I can't believe UA need so many months to catch up the new OS which has been delivered to developer months ago before launch. UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt -- FREE Got my promotional Satellite FREE when I purchased an Apollo 8 Duo this past December...It does pay to pay attention to the UA promotions. I must say, just plugged it in, downloaded software, installed the software and I was off to the races.
That is a good thing. The additional DSP horsepower is needed if you will be doing anything more than just simple tracking. That said, the plugins are top shelf and I have purchased additional ones that sound amazing. I will be keeping an eye out for more promotions from UA. Buying a thunderbolt cable shouldn't break anyone who can afford to buy the UA gear, but it would be a nice touch on the part of UA to include the cable. So happy to add the Quad Satellite to my rig. I now 8 total share chips and never have to work about DSP resources again. Now I get it... I've heard great things of the UAD stuff and actually tracked with some of it but never owned it. Torned between one nice piece of hardware gear, or a plethora of good sounding plug ins PLUS DSP chip, I pulled the trigger with the Satellite. These plugins are so amazing!!!! What's not to like? The UAD-2 Satellite Thunderbolt OCTO Core is just what I need when I'm mixing. Together with the Apollo Quad I've got a really powerful workstation.
Nothing beats the UAD platform and the plugins don't come any better. compact, powerful, and makes running the plugins smooth as. Using mine with a Apollo Twin and it's magic thus far. Good value for money Easy setup and integration with my Apollo Twin. Works like a charm. Really nice to be able use loads of plugins rolling. Nice small size too.So many instances can be run at once! Makes the choices harder now on what to use lol Uad can do no wrong!!! Have been using the Satellite Quad FW for a year now without any issue. Have just changed to Satellite OCTO Thunderbolt and been using it for a week now. Runs smooth and nice, no issues or bugs (Mac Pro cylinder 10.9.5 / Pro Tools 11.3) Yea, this piece of gear is great and worth more than 5 stars..you can't just throw in the thunderbolt cable??? been using the plugins for about ten years now, still happy with them. not that happy with your reissueing plugins I´ve already bought and having to pay for
and thought quad core/thunderbolt would be a bit more powerful, still: very good gear, keep up the good work! Satellite 2 - Game Changer Changed the way I record in my home studio. I run it on top of my Apollo 8 and I NEVER run out of DSP, I honestly can't believe how powerful this unit is. UAD fucking rocks, there's no other way to put it. I am new to the UAD world and am still getting blown away almost daily. In a world of thin, shitty, digital everything, it's refreshing to see a company doing it so right. Oh, and their customer service kicks ass too. A must have piece if you use UAD plugins I have a lot of UAD plugins and before I got this piece I would run out of processing power pretty quickly. I'm using the API Vision and Neve plugs quite a bit as well as the Urei and Fairchild compressors. I got the Satellite Octo and it's amazing. I've had up to 16 instances of Vision up and it didn't even hicup. Added a bunch of other things too, including a couple of Lexicon 224's and EMT 250 reverbs.
It just handles it all. If you're looking to do pro mixes this is a major upgrade to accompany the UAD platform. I'm justifying my purchase by saying how great it is!!!!! i sent my octo back. demoed many plugins and thought they were ok. what a lot of hype though. A MUST HAVE IN COMBINATION WITH THE APOLLO TWIN !!! You will never get DSP Problems with this combination. Anstecken, Update laden und funktioniert. Bei UAD funktioniert das alles so reibungslos, einfach ein Traum. The UAD-2 TB Satellite is the easiest product I have ever used. Within 15 minutes it was up and running, and improving my mixes. This is an awesome and powerful part of my DAW. This gear gives me endless (almost) power to run UA plugins that sound sonically outstanding - especially the hardware emulations - and allow me the processing power to add other non-UA power soaking plugins that I love with ease. Easy installation and user intuitive. A great treat as a bonus for a purchase I already wanted to make.
