In an experiment to peek inside people’s packs Daniel Eckler, the founder of Piccsy, asked 100 “global creative”-types (Eckler’s words) to unbuckle, unzip, and arrange the contents of their daily-carry bags for a look at the things that help them work, bike, communicate, consume, and live day to day moving through the world. GearJunkie Founder Stephen Regenold was included in the group. You can see his Chrome backpack below and its contents, which skew toward bike repair (multitool, C02 inflater) and journalism (notebook, pen) as well as a knife, headphones, wallet, and other workaday erratum. Dutch-based collective MIJLO founder and serial entrepreneur Daniel Eckler has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the company’s latest product, a watch that offers different timeless styles for the price of a single timepiece. The Everyday Watch by MIJLO is a versatile watch timepiece that includes ten variations for the price of a single high quality watch. The watch comes with a classic simple design and easy-change straps that allow the user to switch up its looks depending on his mood or outfit. Most designer or quality watches are usually priced between $250 to $400. The price for the Everyday Watch falls between that range, but already offers 10 different styles. A package comes with two classic watch faces and five straps, which include one brown leather, one tan leather, one black textured leather, one blue rubber, and one green mixed canvas and leather band. The MIJLO Everyday Watch features an easy push-button technology that lets users change up the look of their watch in mere seconds.

A simple button at the base of each strap makes it easy to change watch faces and bands. The Everyday Watch package comes in a felt carrying case that can be easily rolled up and stored or packed away during travel. The Everyday Watch also comes with a five-year guarantee and owners can request for a replacement of a band by sending a digital image of the worn-out strap. The Kickstarter campaign for the 10-in-1 timepiece has a goal of $25,000 CAD and it has already raised almost half that goal with a little over a month to go. Those who want to purchase their own 10-in-1 watch can still go for the Early Bird price of $197 CAD for a complete package, which includes the two watch faces, five bands, and the felt case. The campaign ends September 7. MIJLO, a company dedicated to creating solutions for small spaces, first launched its collection of well-designed quality products with A Better Backpack, which was successfully funded on Kickstarter in December last year. The country's exciting history and its breathtaking cities, with Rome in the lead, offer a historical rush, from the Colosseum and the other ruins of the Roman Empire to St. Peter's Cathedral in the Vatican. Or what about the Leaning Tower of Pisa or the canals of Venice? How about the marvelous wines produced in the country?

Yes, Italy has many icons and many, many good reasons to visit. Rome is also known as "The Eternal City", but luckily Italy has many other exciting large cities - as well as those that are a bit smaller. There is Milan in the north, the fashion-, design-, and financial- capital with beautiful, stylish people, gorgeous town squares and churches (don't miss the impressive Duomo Milano) and of course, the two football prides - and rivals - Milan and Inter. Experience a match live at San Siro. The experience is well worth it. Other classical favorites are Florence and Bologna and of course, the romantic Venice with its canals and gondolas. It's difficult to decide which city is more beautiful - they all have many well-preserved churches and squares, narrow streets, fine restaurants and the ever-present passion and temperament, which can be felt throughout Italy. Verona and Naples also deserve some attention, as well as the unforgettable medieval charm that can be found in the somewhat smaller city of Sienna, near Florence.

Pisa, with its famous Leaning Tower should be passed by, either. Another of Italy's cultural treasures is Pompeii, the City of Ashes. It was buried in ash from the volcano Vesuvius in the year 79 A.D. The "city" and the volcano are located just south of Naples in the southern part of Italy and both of them make quite an impression, depending on if you like ancient cultures of the past or the volcano with its steep edges. Sicily is one of the more exciting destinations in Italy. Throughout the island are gorgeous beaches and historical cities. There is also the stereotypical Italian city, Palermo, with its ever-present and noisy street life of scooters, markets stalls, temperamental taxi drivers - and the Mafioso! Sicily's beaches are one of a kind with deep, clear bays alongside beautiful cliffs, and of course, the sandy beaches are top quality. The villages are also not to be forgotten. They're full of ambience and charm - and the food!! Oh, God, how it's fantastic! Sardinia should also be mentioned.

It's further out in the Mediterranean Sea in the direction of France and Spain is popular among divers. The water is crystal clear and full of shipwrecks. Sardinia is also known for its long, white, sandy beaches, craggy landscapes and - again -the cozy villages with good food and wine. A third island is the slightly smaller Elba, closer to the coast. The fantastic beaches can also be found here, as well as a lively nightlife and relatively cheap accommodations can be found at the campgrounds. Italy has many regions, which are suitable for both hiking and driving holidays. Tuscany, north of Rome with Florence as its center point, is very popular. Its picturesque landscape attracts thousands of tourists each year. The distance between towns is short and it's a perfect area for hiking. There are a wide variety of hiking trails to choose from and they are planned out very well. Another famous region is the Amalfi Coast, south of Naples. This coastline stretches from Sorrento to Salerno and is known for its beauty and small, charming villages, which "hang" from the mountainside over the sea.

This area is without a doubt one the most beautiful in all of Europe. Try, for example, the cities of Positano, Ravello and the tiny city of Minori. In the eastern part of southern Italy, you should check out Calabria. It's not so touristy here. The villages are idyllic and the beaches are some of the best in the country. It's a good idea to drive in your own car here because the area is relatively desolate and does not offer so much in regards to public transportation. In the north, there are always the Alps and Lake Como, which are definitely among some of our favorites for both hiking and driving holidays. If you are a planning a trip around Europe, then Italy is the perfect place to start. There are many ferry connections from Bari and Brindisi to Greece, or over the Adriatic Sea to Croatia, and in the northeast around Genoa and the coast by Cinque Terre (another beautiful area you shouldn't miss), there are good connections to the French Riviera.
